Welcome to Work Rewired. As well as blogging about the world of work I'm going to be giving an insight into what's going on behind the scenes at Work Rewired. As you've probably guessed we're a new startup and over the next few months I'll keep you updated with how things progress.

Work Rewired came about after a run of bad jobs. Several jobs in a row had appeared great at interview. The places appeared friendly and the money was good. But working there day to day it turned out something wasn't right. I was either stuck between day to day monotony or places that 'forgot' to send the salary check at the end of the month.

And that's where this site comes from. You can go read exactly what a place is like before you go for interview. Or you can dig about and find the best employers. We're spending enough time at work. It's important that we find works which fulfil and reward us. And when we're working at our best the organisations we work for benefit too.

Are we worried that it's going to turn into a site to have a go at your boss? Not really. We're careful what's published and the review process is structured to make visitors think about their job. The initial reviews have mainly been positive.

Do we think a company might be offended? Possibly. But we've got an editorial policy in place to make sure that only fair comment gets published and we're keen to recognise those employers who are working hard to provide positive environments for their workers.
