Well, I was working part-time, to fully fund a degree.
For what I needed, home delivery driving was spot-on. Flexible, evening hours with overtime available. The rate of pay - for drivers - was also a wee bit above shop floor rates, and a couple of quid above minimum wage.
There aren't THAT many jobs where you're left essentially to your own devices, driving around and listening to radio in between drop-offs.
The staff at Huddersfield were fantastic, and the managers MOSTLY supportive.
At the end of the day, it's unlikely to be anyone's ideal job. But for what it was, it served me right. Can't grumble!
