I have worked for Barclays in Oxford for just over two years now, it has by far been the best company I have worked for to date. I feel that the branch in Oxford citys main strength is the team that work there, the people are all very friendly and upbeat and most of all very welcoming to new comers. The role of personal Banker is not the easiest of jobs however it can be very rewarding finacialy but also very fulfilling to know that you may have helped some one and made a real differance to their life. You get lots of training both in and out of the branch. The role itself involves general serving of customers identifying there personal needs and wants and selling the right products to meet those needs with an eye to make or save them money. Its a target based role which is monitored weekley and made more interesting through sales contests and incentives. There are fantastic perks and benefits from private healthcare, monthly bonuses right through to social events and discounts. Barclays is very pro community and regularly gets involved helping different charities and events both on a local and corporate levels.

Great team spirit with added financial rewards, if you want to put the work in. It's never dull but you can be a little 'stretched' for staff at times. Barclay's has become more user friendly recently & still has a way to go, but I'm sure if you stick around long enough you'll reap the benefits to come.

Its not all about money, it's about having fun.
