Its been a great ride, working at IBM. The people are great. And so is the boss. The work is challenging and there is no paucity of motivation from any quarter in the organization.
Great, I enjoy going to work and seeing my team, they are like family. Lots of laughs. I work on a team where we have tons of flexibility in choosing our direction and use of tools.

You can choose various performance levels, and get rewarded accordingly. No more jobs for life, but if laid off, can probably find other roles if you are willing to travel, put in long hours and learn new skills. The reward is excellent support for life outside work, good benefits and reasonable compensation.
